The head of U.N. nuclear agency Rafael Grossi said that most of Iran’s highly enriched uranium is likely still at its nuclear facility in Isfahan, which was struck by air strikes last year and has suffered fewer attacks during this year’s U.S.-Iran war.

Last June, Israel launched a 12-day war, the U.S. bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities, and the International Atomic Energy Agency’s inspections in Isfahan came to an end.

Iran announced last June that it had a new uranium enrichment facility in Isfahan. Grossi said that the facility had clearly not been hit in the attacks on Isfahan this year or last year.

Grossi added that the IAEA had discussed with Russia and other countries about the possibility of removing Iran’s highly enriched uranium from the country.
